Below are some popular flavors in pizza history that is worth having a spot on every single menu.

Starting with the ones that started everything and the original to exactly put it into words, it is the Neapolitan pizzas. Its name is merely based on the city it was first created in which was Naples in Italy. This originally was created with a thin crust of flatbread with several but not much toppings like cheese, tomatoes and garlic.

From this humble beginning, several people have tried and attempted to make it even better than it is now with the variations they have invented. Though, even so they ensure that the original sense of which is still there and visible. Although, there is not that much stuff to put on top of it because of how thin its crust is, it probably is going to break into pieces if there are quite too much toppings.

Next are the Chicago pizza or deep dish. The inspiration of its creation was sure based on the latter, though it was not completely imitated and the ones who created this has been thinking of a way to make it unique on its own. And this was when the thick crust came to be known.

Plus, this is basically where the thick crust has ever started. Its initial recipe was made to have a thick and bulgy crust to possibly handle the ingredients inside it. Some of its ingredients would include ground beef, sausage, onions, mushrooms and more which sure makes it flavors burst in a unique way.

Last would be the New York style. This pizza is actually is the most popular choice by people in the United States. True enough, this got a similarity with the Neapolitan but it still has its own unique overall identity.

So, this has a thin crust as well. But, the difference is that its crust is thick enough to be fold cut by half in somewhat lengthwise ways. Plus it has been easier to eat pizzas without utensils because of such kind of crusts.

The toppings of this recipe also varies a lot. There are some who prefers using mushroom and anchovies but there were also few who wants it with sausage and peperoni. Plus, the usual condiments may as well be used as topping on such type of pizza like oregano, garlic powder and Parmesan cheese.
